GNLL Youth Pre-Season Indoor League


The Great Northern Lacrosse (GNLL) Boys Youth Pre-Season Modified Indoor Field League  (March - April) provides a fun, safe and supportive environment where area youth teams compete, learn, and grow. 

Participating teams play 6 regular season games throughout March & April at conveniently located regional indoor arenas. Games run hourly on Saturdays & Sundays and consist of three 15-minute periods. 

The league provides the following for each game:  
    •    Certified Officials
    •    Certified EMT's equipped with AED's 
    •    Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
    •    Mobile-responsive schedules, statistics, and standings. 

Regular Season: 6 weeks- Saturday & Sundays, March 9  - April 14, 2024. *Off on March 31st for Easter. Games run between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Locations:
- Northeast: Northeast Ice Arena
- Southeast: Eagan Civic Arena 
- Northwest: Anoka Ice Arena 
- Southwest: Hopkins Pavilion / St. Louis Park ROC (Opens March 23)

Divisions: 14U / 12U / 10U *A / B levels will be offered if demand allows. Historically, associations have opted to run even-teams instead of A / B.

Note:  Cross-checking, off-ball checking, and boarding are illegal.

Eligibility: The league follows USA Lacrosse Age & Eligibility Guidelines. USAL membership is required for all players and coaches. Click here for a detailed break-down of additional rules and requirements. 

If a player hopes to play up in a division outside of the USA Lacrosse Age Segmentation Policy, a GNLL Age Division Waiver must be completed by a parent, coach, or association board member and approved by the GNLL Director. Cases are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 

Regular Season Participation Fee: 
$1350 per 12/14U teams 
$1150 for 10U teams *2024* Will go back to TWO officials

The GNLL Pre-Season Modified Indoor Field League is followed by the Spring Field League (April - June) and the Fall Field Season (September - October).   *The GNLL Modified Indoor Field League Season games may overlap with GNLL Spring Field Season games scheduled in early April.

House teams are opportunities for players interested in participating whose home associations do not sponsor a team.

Team registration deadline is Friday February 16, 2024

Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $100 late fee per team.

A $500 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than Friday, March 1, 2024.

Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
