GNLL League Requirements & Resources


Player Requirements & Resources

Player Online Registration: 

  • All participating athletes must have a parent or legal guardian complete an online registration form for each league. The form serves as a waiver, liability release, code of conduct agreement, verifies US Lacrosse membership, and collects emergency contact information.
  • All participating athletes must have an up to date US Lacrosse membership throughout the duration of the league.
  • If an athlete does not have a valid US Lacrosse Membership, they will be immediately redirected to US Lacrosse's website within the registration to update the membership for your convenience.
  • Participating athletes will self-assigned to their team roster by completing the player registration form.
  • Links to each leagues player registration form can be found on the league homepage.

Player Geography: 

  • Players are required to compete for their home community association or school team. Home community lines mirror school district lines.
  • Players who live in communities that do not have a member association may submit a request to play for a neighboring association.
  • Players competing on school teams must attend that school or affiliated lower school.

Athlete Age Division Waiver Request Form:

  • Athletes must register in accordance with US Lacrosse Age Segmentation.
  • If a participating athlete is expecting to sign up and play at a different age level the following steps need to be completed for approval:

1. Complete the player registration form according to the participating athlete's date of birth.
2. Complete the Age Waiver Request form by clicking on the link below

3. If approved, the GNLL will hand enter the roster change in the registration system.


Coach Requirements & Resources

Coach Online Registration: 

  • All coaches must complete an online registration form for each league. The form serves as a waiver, liability release, code of conduct agreement, and verifies US Lacrosse membership.
  • All coaches must have a valid US Lacrosse membership throughout the duration of the league.

Coach Eligibility:

  • An adult (18 years or older) must be present on the sideline for liability purposes. 
  • All coaches must complete the GNLL Online Coach Training which includes state-mandated concussion training, GNLL policies and procedures, rule knowledge, rule changes for 2019, conduct, and safety.
    • The videos and quizzes take roughly 1.5 to 4.0 hours to complete, depending on your rules knowledge and coaching experience.
    • The course covers coaches for the entire 2019 calendar year (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter). Box coaches will have a short additional component covering them for box games.

Association Leaders Requirements and Resources

Email and Arbiter Login:

  • Team Managers are set up with an @greatnorthernlacrosse.com Gmail at the beginning of the season. Click on the link below to sign into your @greatnorthernlacrosse.org Gmail account.
  • This Gmail account has been used to set up your association's Arbiter account. Within Arbiter, you will be able to log in and check all of your association team's games and referee assignments. Click on the link below to login to Arbiter with your @greatnorthernlacrosse Gmail account.


Team Manager Requirements & Resources

Tracking Registration:

  • Team Managers are responsible for verifying all of their participating athletes and coaches have completed the GNLL player and coach online registration for each league.
  • Team Managers can check each of their team's rosters and registration progress by signing into the Homegrown Lacrosse registration system. Click on the link below for instructions on how to check and verify team rosters:


Host Requirements & Resources (Spring Field Leagues)

Officials Evaluations: After each game coaches or team administrators from both teams are required to complete an online evaluation of the officials for each game that they play as well as report scores online. Instructions and reminders on how to complete these are emailed periodically throughout the season.
