2020 Fall Season Resources
The Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL) Boys Fall Field Season provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment where area youth players can compete, learn and grow.
Participating teams play 8 regular season games throughout September & October at conveniently located regional host sites. Games run on the hour and consist of four 12-minute quarters. Participating teams may also opt-in and receive priority registration for our end of season Great Pumpkin Shootout Tournament (GPS).
The league provides the following for each game:
• Certified UMLOA officials
• Certified EMT's equipped with AED's
• Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
• Mobile-responsive schedules, statistics, and standings.
Regular Season: 4 week season: Sundays, September 13, 2020 - October 4, 2020. Games run between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, on Sundays.
End of Season GPS Tournament (Optional) : October 10 - 11, 2020. Locations TBD. 4-game guarantee. Pool play with advancement to championship brackets. 1 Champion crowned for each division.

* IMPORTANT* JV and Varsity Boys Rosters currently capped at 22 including coaches on the sidelines.
Rules: NFHS Lacrosse Rules with MN Offseason Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to boys in grades 8 - 12 (Based on 2020-2021 school year). The league follows US Lacrosse Age & Eligibility Guidelines. US Lacrosse membership is required for all players and coaches.
Regular Season Fee: $1960 per team (Teams may have the option to pro-rate down, inquire with League Director if interested)
End of Season Tournament (GPS) Fee: $1125 per team. *$150 discount for any teams that participate in the GNLL 2020 Fall League. $650 for 10U teams, league discount does not apply.
The GNLL Fall Field Season (Sunday games), runs concurrently with our Fall HGL Premier Box League which runs games on Saturdays and is open to individual rather than team registrations.
The fall season is followed by our Boys H.S. Winter Field League.
*Important Covid Guidelines*
Reminder that we ask families to limit ONE spectator PER player to help us stay within facility guidelines and MDH required group sizes.
Along with that, all spectators/coaches/officials/players/field staff are asked to respect general MDH guidelines along with using common sense and respecting others’ and their space.
All coaches are asked to wear masks while on the sidelines coaching. Spectators are asked to enter the premises right before games start to limit gatherings and asked to wear masks if directly on the sidelines and within 6 feet of others. If spectators are watching from a distance, they are not required.
Players are asked to wear masks to the field as well as they enter the group setting until they start warming up. If they are substitutes, they are not required to wear masks but please be conscious of requesting players to give each other distance when possible.
All teams are asked to leave the sidelines immediately following the end of games if they are done playing to allow the new teams playing to have their space.
Team registration deadline: Friday August 28, 2020
Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $100 late fee
A $500 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than September 4th, 2020.
Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
