The Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL) Boy's High School Winter Field Season provides a fun, safe and supportive environment where area high school players can compete, learn and grow.
Participating teams play 10 regular season games across 10 playable weeks running January- March at conveniently located regional host sites. Games run on the hour and consist of four 12-minute quarters.
The league provides the following for each game:
• Certified UMLOA officials
• Certified EMT's equipped with AED's
• Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
• Mobile-responsive schedules, statistics, and standings.
Regular Season: Sunday
January 3 January 17-March 7, 2021.
We hope to be allowed to play starting Sunday January 17th which shortens the league to 8 games across 7 weeks.
Central: Augsburg Dome 7:45-11:45AM
North/NW: Brooklyn Park Sports Dome (Park Center HS) 2-4PM / STMA Dome 12-2PM (2/28 and 3/7 are 10-12PM)
West: Providence Academy Dome 9-12PM *11/10 Providence Academy informed us the dome will not be put up this winter*
Divisions: Varsity / JV
Rules: NFHS Lacrosse Rules with MN Offseason Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to boys in grades 8 - 12 (Based on 2020-2021 school year). The league follows US Lacrosse Age & Eligibility Guidelines. US Lacrosse membership is required for all players and coaches.
Regular Season Fee: $2900 per team
The Winter Season is preceded by the HS Fall Field Season (September-October) and followed by the MSHSL Spring Regular Season.
Team registration deadline is Friday, November 27, 2020
Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $100 late fee
A $1000 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than December 6, 2020.
Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
