The Great Pumpkin Shootout
The Great Pumpkin Shootout is our way of bringing together the expanding Upper-Midwest lacrosse community to celebrate fall and wrap-up the Great Northern Lacrosse League (GNLL) Fall Field Season. Since it's inception in 2012, the event has grown to include 100+ teams per tournament and 3,000 participants each year.
Association/High School Teams Divisions:
Dates: Friday-Sunday, October 12 - 13, 2024:
Location: Farmington HS and Levi Dodge MS
Divisions: Boys/Girls Varsity, JV, 14U, 12U, 10U, and Boys/Girls 8U if there is enough interest.
Participation Fee:
Boys: $1175 per team. *10U $650 | *8U $350
Girls: $850 per team. *8U $350
*$150 discount for boys' teams (no discount for 10/8U) / $75 discount for girls' teams participating in the 2024 GNLL Fall League.
Boys Format: 4-game guarantee. 20-minute halves. Pool play with advancement to championship brackets.
Girls Format: 6v6 on 60x40 yard fields. 4-game guarantee. 20-minute running time halves. 10U Girls may play 8v8 if both coaches agree to it.
Club/Select Team Divisions
Dates: Friday-Sunday, October 25- 27, 2024 (Friday games only if needed).
Locations: Boys at Wayzata HS and Maple Grove Fernbrook Field & Girls at NSC Blaine Dome
Divisions: Boys/Girls HS A (2025 & 2026), Boys/Girls HS B (2027 & 2028), Boys/Girls 14U, Boys/Girls 12U, Boys/Girls 10U
Participation Fee:
Boys: $1275 per team. *$675 for 10U
Girls: $900 per team. *$675 for 10U
Boys Format: 4-game guarantee. 20-minute halves. Pool play with advancement to championship brackets.
Girls Format: 6v6 for 12U and up (subject to change) on 60x40 yard fields. Standard 7v7 for 10U. 4-game guarantee. 30-minute running time games. 10U Girls may play 7v7 if both coaches agree to it.
The following will be provided for both events:
• Certified Officials
• Certified EMT's equipped with AED's
• Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
• Online standings, schedules, and updates
Eligibility: The Tournament follows USA Lacrosse age & eligibility guidelines according to the 2024-2025 school year. *Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline (9/15/23) are not guaranteed and will incur a $100 late fee if added.
A $250 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than Monday, September 30, 2024.
Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
