The Great Northern Lacrosse (GNLL) Girls Pre-Season Sixes League  (January - April) provides a fun, safe and supportive environment where area youth and hs teams compete, learn and grow. 

Participating girls high school and youth teams play 6 regular season games . Girls high school teams play games in late January through February while girls youth teams play in February through late March ending before the youth spring season begins. 

Games run on Sundays and consist of 2x16-minute halves in a 40-minute time slot. 

The league provides the following for each game:  
    •    Certified Officials
    •    Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
    •    Mobile-responsive schedules, statistics, and standings. 

2025 Regular Season:

Girls HS: 6 Games across 6 Sundays - Sundays February 2, 9, 16, 23,  March 2 & 9. Games run between 8-4PM. 

Girls 14U: 6 Games across 6 Sundays- Sundays, February 16, 23, March 2, 9, 16, and 23. Games run between 8-4PM.

• Conway Recreation Center Dome Auxiliary Field (Right across from dome entrance): 2090 Conway Street St. Paul, MN 55119
• NSC Sports Hall: Unnamed Road, 1700 105th Ave NE, Blaine, MN 55449 (Games between 8-11AM on 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 3/2)
• University of Minnesota Field House: 1800 University Avenue SE Minneapolis MN 55455

Divisions: 
HS: Varsity & JV, although may be one division if numbers dictate.
Youth: 14U
There is a cap of 24 teams across both divisions.

Rules: Modifications to the  World Lacrosse approved "Lacrosse 6s" format.

• 6v6 (5 Field Players, 1 Goalie)
• 2 x 16 Minute Halves with a 2 Minute Half-time in a 40 Minute Block
• Draw At Start of Game and Second Half 
• Following Goal, Goalie has :05 seconds to put ball in play within the half
• We Recommend a 14 Player Roster Cap, 8 Player Minimum (2 Coaches Allowed, no coach required in the HS Division if a team captain is at least 18 years of age)

Eligibility: The league follows USA Lacrosse Age & Eligibility Guidelines. USAL membership is required for all players and coaches. Click here for a detailed breakdown of additional rules and requirements. 

Regular Season Participation Fee: $750 per team

Girls HS Team Registration Deadline: Friday January 3, 2025
Girls 14U Team Registration Deadline: Friday January 17, 2025

Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $100 late fee per team.

Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
