All pumpkins must be turned in by 4:00 PM on Saturday and will be judged by HG staff. Winners and prizes will be announced at halftime of the College Showcase game.
  • Pumpkin Chuck Accuracy Challenege: Players will buy 5 lacrosse balls for $1. Here they will stand behind a line and test their accuracy by trying to knock down pumpkins that will be hanging in a lacrosse goal. This will be taking place at the Hopkins HS and more rules can be found there. Prizes for the winners will be announced at event site.
  • Intro Lacrosse Clinic: Players will learn basic techniques on how to pass, catch, scoop up ground balls, etc. This will be directed by Homegrown Senior Staff.

Boys and Girls TryLax Clinic

This is an introductory clinic for beginner boys and girls looking to try lacrosse (in grades 2nd - 7th). The clinic is part of the 3rd annual Great Pumpkin Shootout Tournament, so you will get to see youth, high school and college lacrosse being played at Hopkins High School on Sat & Sun, Oct 24-25th. Plus clinic participants get to compete in the “Great Pumpkin Shooting Contest” for Halloween candy during the clinic.

The clinic is open to anyone from the Twin Cities interested in trying lacrosse for the first time. Instruction will be provided by college, high school and youth association coaches and players. Local youth association information will be available for those looking to play in the spring or summer. Existing players are encouraged to help instruct and bring their friends to try lacrosse.
