The Great Northern Lacrosse Women's Pickup Fall Field League provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment where players can stay active and meet other members of the lacrosse community. 

GNLL will provide a field manager to help with field setup/teardown and timing. No officials or EMT will be provided to help keep cost down. 

Regular Season: 4-week season: Sundays September 14, 21, 28, Oct 5 from 6-7PM

Regular Season Field Location:
- Central: St. Paul Central HS Stadium

Player Fee: $20 for 4 sessions

Registration deadline: Monday September 8, 2025

Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and capped at 50 players. 

Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, field staff, equipment, and league administration costs.  Proceeds help us sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region. 

Format

• 6v6 or 10v10/12v12  depending on turnout
• Teams formed randomly based on turnout
• Running clock:
  • 2x25 minute for 10v10 / 4x8 minute for 6v6
• Use triangle goals if no goalies present
• No officials: players self-officiate and call their own fouls/honor system

Women’s General Contact & Physical Play Rules

• No body checking
• No dangerous or reckless checks
• No checks to the head, neck, or body
• No cross-checking
• No stick swinging or wind-up checks
• Maintain control of stick and only on stick and below shoulders
• Competitive but friendly 

Women’s Restricted Play Rules

• No draws after goals- use alternate possession or goalie clears
• Self-starts allowed on turnovers or out-of-bounds
• No dangerous follow-through on shots

Women’s Equipment Guidelines

• Goggles & mouthguard required
