Community Program Development

By partnering with tribal and urban Indian communities, we work to support and grow local community lacrosse programs across the Upper Midwest. We do this in two separate tracks -- player and community development -- which support each other to develop sustainable youth lacrosse associations. To learn more about Community Program Development, please contact Corbyn Tao at corbyn@homegrownlacrosse.org.

Teaching Lacrosse. Supporting Youth.

We take a multi-faceted approaching to support youth in holistic growth. We provide several programs to meet the needs of youth where they are and inspire them to continue in lacrosse or their other passions. These programs include:

  • In-School PE/TryLax Clinics
  • Day Camps/Clinics
  • Team Sponsorship
  • Equipment Donation
  • Youth Scholarship Fund

Together, these programs work to support youth in their lacrosse-related goals and continue the growth of the sport among Indigenous youth. Providing opportunities for youth to reconnect and revitalize the traditional sport of lacrosse is the core of our work, and we are excited to continue now and in the future.

Investing in Coaches. Growing the Game

We believe that coaches matter. Having a knowledgeable and supportive coaching staff not only improves the quality of the lacrosse experience but positively affects youth development across the board. This is why we have invested in supporting coaches to ensure they have what they need to provide the best possible experience for the youth they work with. These programs include:

  • Coaching Clinics
  • Coaching Mentorship Program
  • Coaching Scholarship Fund (i.e., administration fees, continuing education, etc.)

We believe that coaches are a healthy part of healthy communities. If you are interested in learning more about any of our coaching programs, please get in touch with Rory Taylor at rory@homegrownlacrosse.org.
