The Minnesota Meltdown with modified Olympic rules is an opportunity for high school players to get some touches in before the spring lacrosse season officially starts. With smaller rosters, smaller fields, and quick restarts among other modifications, the intensity and pace of play should be a good challenge for players.
Full rule set is available below but the game will consist of 5 field players and 1 goalie.
This single day, four game guarantee tournament provides the following for each game:
• Certified Officials
• Certified EMT's equipped with AED's
• Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
Event Dates and Divisions:
Girls Varsity Division (Grades 9-12): Sunday March 27th 8-1PM (Capped at 8 Teams)
Boys Varsity Division (Grades 9-12): Sunday March 27th 3-9PM (Capped at 8 Teams)
All games will be in the brand new Conway Dome in St. Paul.

Eligibility: Roster sizes are suggested to be up to 14 players and 1 coach (coach not required if at least one player is 18 or older by the tournament date). Open to players in grades 9 - 12 (Based on 2021-2022 school year). Teams must consist of at least 7 players that play in the same HS program. Additionally, to make this tournament more accessible to all players interested in participating, a USA Lacrosse membership will NOT be required for this event.
Team Registration Deadline: Friday March 4, 2022
*This event is limited in capacity. Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $75 late fee.
A $100 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than March 11, 2022.
Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
