Kathryn Knippenberg

Kathryn Knippenberg (KK) has been a part of the Minnesota lacrosse community since she first started playing in 2002, the first year it was an MSHSL sponsored sport.  She went on to attend the University of Minnesota, where she was the lacrosse team captain and club president. In 2012 Kathryn became the first NCAA lacrosse coach in the state of Minnesota at Augsburg University, holding that role for 11 years. In her 15+ year coaching career she has coached all levels of the game, and is now serving the community as the GNLL Director of girl’s/women’s leagues and events, as well as special projects within Homegrown.

Kathryn is taking a break from coaching, instead chasing around her 2 daughters, 2 dogs and husband. She enjoys filling her days with baking, getting outside, moving her body and watching anything on Bravo.
