The Homegrown Goalie Day allows Minnesota goalies to enter the season armed with new concepts and techniques.
Each goalie will receive individualized instruction to take the best advantage of their strengths and minimize their weaknesses. Additionally, goalies will receive critiques from the staff on strengths and areas to continue developing.
This year for Goalie day we are pleased to bring in two professional goaltenders. The first is Kameron Halsall. Coming from Ontario Canada, Kam has achieved the highest level of Women’s Lacrosse. After attending the Hill Academy in Ontario Kam went on to play at Rutgers University and Stony Brook University where she earned American East All-Championship Team and 3-time defensive player of the week. Kam finished her college career with a .459 save percentage and a remarkable game record of 24-5. Kam now represents her country playing for the Canadian National Team.
Our Second Goalkeeper attending spring can is Matt DeLuca. Matt attended The University of Delaware, earning the starting role soon after stepping on campus. He was ranked one of the best goalkeepers in the CAA and ranked sixth in school history with a 10.08 career goals per game average. Selected to the 2nd team All-CAA two years in a row and in his final season as a Blue Hen he earned Inside Lacrosse All-American. Coach DeLuca now plays in the PLL Goalkeeping for the Waterdogs.
