The Great Northern Lacrosse (GNLL) Boys Youth Pre-Season Box League (March - April) provides a fun, safe and supportive environment where area youth teams compete, learn and grow.
Participating teams play 5 regular season games throughout March & April at conveniently located regional indoor arenas. Games run hourly on Saturdays & Sundays and consist of three 15-minute periods.
The league provides the following for each game:
• Certified UMLOA officials
• Certified EMT's equipped with AED's
• Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
• Mobile-responsive schedules, statistics, and standings.

March 13, 2021 March 27 (Due to hockey season being extended) - April 18, 2021. *Off on 4/4 for Easter. Games run between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

- Southeast: Eagan Civic Arena (Potentially if southern teams join)
- Northwest: Anoka Ice Arena
- Southwest: Hopkins Pavilion (Games run 8-6PM) / St. Louis Park ROC (Games run 9-1PM)

10U *A / B levels will be offered if demand allows. Historically, associations have opted to run even-teams instead of A / B.
Roster Sizes: At this time, rosters are capped at 23 on the sidelines which includes players and coaches although it is recommended to only have 14-16 players on a team.

Note: GNLL Youth Box Lacrosse is field lacrosse modified to be played in an arena setting and not true box lacrosse. In particular, cross-checking, off-ball checking, and boarding are illegal.
*2021* Due to covid protocols, GNLL will not be providing goalie equipment at arenas. Teams may rent lowers from GNLL for a $150 refundable deposit at the end of the season. This is available on a fc,fs basis.

Regular Season Participation Fee: $1075 per team
The GNLL Pre-Season Box League is followed by the Spring Field League (April - June) and the Fall Field Season (September - October). *The GNLL Spring Box Season games may overlap with GNLL Spring Field Season games scheduled in early April.

Team registration deadline is Friday March 5, 2021
Registrations are accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed to be scheduled and will incur a $100 late fee per team.
A $500 deposit is required for each team registered. Deposits are non-refundable and due at the time of registration. Teams are not considered fully registered until deposit payments are received. The remaining balance is due no later than Friday, March 19, 2021.
Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
