Originally designed in 2009 to provide an end of summer tournament experience for area high school summer teams, Champions of Summer was brought back in 2020 to try and make up for the season that we lost.

Dates:  Tuesday-Wednesday, July 30-31, 2024 (Moved up a week to avoid MSHSL Blackout dates). 
Game start times run from 1:00 to 9:00 pm.

Divisions: High School
Girls: Varsity (Gold/Silver Flights if numbers allow), JV
Boys: Varsity (Gold/Silver Flights if numbers allow), JV
*2024 graduates ARE eligible to play. 

Location: National Sports Center- 1750 105th Ave NE, Blaine MN 55449

Format: Two day 4-game guarantee with two 22 minute halves and a two minute half time. 

Pool play with advancement to championship brackets. 

Team Participation Fee:  $1175 for Association/HS Team Tournament

The following will be provided for each game:  
    •    Certified Officials
    •    Certified EMT's equipped with AED's 
    •    Professional Site Managers / Scorekeepers
    •    Online standings, schedules, and updates 
    •    Tournament and Homegrown Lacrosse Apparel for Purchase

Eligibility: The tournament follows USA Lacrosse age & eligibility guidelines according to the 2023-2024 school year however graduated Seniors ARE allowed to play in HS divisions but not in travel team divisions. USAL membership is NOT required for players or coaches.

High school coaches who plan to coach their spring teams need to work with their athletic directors to obtain an MSHSL summer coaching waiver.

Homegrown Lacrosse is a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization. Team fees cover facility, officials, EMT, field staff, equipment, and league administration costs. Additional proceeds and sponsorships sustain, expand, and develop service-based initiatives throughout the region.
