Homegrown Lacrosse

Homegrown Lacrosse's 2012 Boys Holiday River Leagues provide players a chance to continue to play in an organized and competitive league throughout the off season.  

This year's Holiday River Leagues will be run at east and west metro sites giving players a chance to play on multiple nights.  This is also a great opportunity for players to play with players outside of their regular High School team. Participants will be able to form new relationships and build the MN lacrosse community, have an opportunity to play different roles on the field and receive expert coaching from the sidelines. 

Thursdays at the Maple Grove Dome
5 Sessions - November 8 to December 13 (off for Thanksgiving Nov 22.) 

Division 1 (Juniors & Seniors) 2 teams

• Start time: 8:45 p.m. 75-minute sessions.

Division 2 (Freshmen & Sophomores) 2 teams 

• Start time: 7:45 p.m. 75-minute sessions.

Saturdays at Concordia University (St. Paul)
5 Sessions - November 17 to December 15. 

Division 1 (Juniors & Seniors) 4 teams

• Start times: 12:45 p.m. & 1:45 p.m. 75-minute sessions.

Division 2 (Freshmen & Sophomores) 4 teams 

• Start times: 10:15 a.m. & 11:30 a.m. 90-minute sessions.

Sundays at the Savage Dome
6 Sessions - November 11 to December 16

Division 1 (Juniors & Seniors) 4 Teams

• Start Times: 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
• Full-Field Format, 120-minute sessions

Division 2 (Freshmen & Sophomores)  4 Teams 

• Start Times: 12:00 p.m.
• Full-Field Format, 120-minutes sessions

Program Format:

Teams will be created before the first games, based on skill level and positions.  Each session consists of a 15 minute team warm-up and strategy sessions followed by a an hour long game made up of two 25 minute running halves. 

Additional Rules:

• Mouthguards must be worn at all times.
• All players must have a current US Lacrosse Membership in order to participate.
• All players must agree to the HGL Code of Conduct.  
• Goalies must wear a chest protector and a neck protector.
