Katrese Ringham

Katrese Ringham

Katrese grew up in St. Louis Park. She was first introduced to Lacrosse her sophomore year through one of her friend's who had recently moved to MN from the East Coast and was dying to start a lax team. She went on to play in college at Truman State University in Missouri. She started all four years playing low-defense and traveling across the U.S.

The friendships, fun, and rich history of lacrosse are what kept Katrese hooked. Cherishing her past she states that, "Many of my best friends have been teammates, so it has created a great circle of friends. People who play lacrosse are some of the coolest and best people in the world."

Her favorite Lacrosse memory is "beating Mizzou in a tie breaker during a huge snow storm." Katrese has always been reminded by the game to have fun and still be competitive. "It has also taught me the importance of keeping a level head and how to be gracious if you loose."

Katrese's two favorite drills are the star drill and 3-on-2s. As a Homegrown Lacrosse Coach she enjoys teaching a new generation the sport and watching the game evolve since she's started playing. In her opinion to be successful in life and on the field you have to have "time management and the ability to know when to be serious and when to have fun."

Tidbits: Katrese's favorite food is a tie between Mexican, quality ice cream, and anything with chocolate. She wishes to one day hike Manchu Picchu. Something that you may not know about Katrese is that she is very crafty when she chooses to be.
