Homegrown Lacrosse

The new Homegrown 4 the Holidays Mentorship League brings boy's high school and middle school players together with college playersto create a unique and dynamic experience. 

Dreamed up as a way to connect today's rising laxers with some of Minnesota's best collegiate players and coaches, the Homegrown 4 the Holidays Mentorship league is designed to give young players the opportunity to learn from more experienced players in a real game setting.

With a 1:2 college to high school player ratio the Mentorship League creates an ideal environment for younger players to learn from and play alongside players and coaches they watched and admired as a they grew up in the game. 

The younger players will not only recieve real-time instruction and higher level of play but also come away inpired and more connected to the larger Minnesota Lacrosse community. 

Team Format:

• 2 teams per division created before the first game, based on skill level and position (6A, 9M, 2 LSM, 6D, 2G each). 
• Each team will have a 1:2 college to h.s / m.s. player ratio, with one college athlete playing on a line with 2 h.s. / m.s. athletes. 

Game Format:

Games will run an hour and half long with four 21 minute running quarters with a 5 minute half-time break. Braveheart will decide a tie.  

Additional Rules: 

• Mouthguards must be worn at all times 
• All players must wear shoulder pads
• All players must have an up to date US Lacrosse Membership. 
• All players must agree to the HGL Code of Conduct 
• Goalies must wear a chest protector and a neck protector

Dec. 27 & Dec. 28 - 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. 

Division II: Grades 9 - 10

Dec. 27 - 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. 

Division III: Grades 7 - 8

Dec 28 - 2:30 - 4:00 p.m. 

The registration fees are as follows:

Division 1: $45

Division 2 & 3: $25 

Capacity is limited to 32 per division.
