Homegrown Lacrosse

Nick (aka Gino) grew up in Shoreview and now lives in St. Paul and plays defenseman at the University of St. Thomas. He has been honored with a Team Spirit Award and "Best Ground Baller" at the University of St. Thomas.

Since he first started playing the sport in fifth grade, Nick's love for lacrosse has grown. For Nick, playing lacrosse can be compared to life: ”It’s a game where you have to flow...kind of like life, always moving, never stopping.”

Gino enjoys coaching because he gets to share his love of the game with kids that remind him of himself as a young player. What he likes about coaching with Homegrown is that he feels like he's among family.

Tidbits: Nick enjoys Italian food and Chipotle after games. He likes California and can’t do without his cell phone (and, of course, his lacrosse stick). He also is a snowboard instructor.
