A preseason scrimmage event that brings together 24 boys varsity, and 12  boys junior varsity and prep teams, as well as 6 girls varsity teams to scrimmage and reconnect as a community before the regular season starts up.

The goal of the event is to help teams prepare for the regular season, bring the lacrosse community together as well as support a great cause. All proceeds from the event benefit Homegrown Lacrosse's Inner-City and In-School P.E. programming.

"The Meltdown is a great opportunity for high school programs to fine tune their systems and rosters before the HS season begins."

- Coach Chris Fleck (Prior Lake)

"I couldn’t be more excited for this year's Meltdown.  Coaches, players, and fans alike not only have the opportunity to watch a great day of HS lacrosse, but provides a venue for the entire lacrosse community to come together in one location. It truly shows the growth and excitement around Minnesota lacrosse."

- Coach Rob Horn (The Blake School)
