Join us for our fourth annual spring preseason scrimmage event which works to bring together 24 boys varsity, and 12 boys junior varsity and prep teams, as well as 6 girls varsity teams to compete and reconnect as a community before the regular season starts up.
The goal of the event is to help teams prepare for the regular season, bring the lacrosse community together as well as support a great cause. All proceeds from the event benefit Homegrown Lacrosse's Inner-City and In-School P.E. programming.
"The Meltdown is a great opportunity for high school programs to fine tune their systems and rosters before the HS season begins."
- Coach Chris Fleck (Prior Lake)
"I couldn’t be more excited for this year's Meltdown. Coaches, players, and fans alike not only have the opportunity to watch a great day of HS lacrosse, but provides a venue for the entire lacrosse community to come together in one location. It truly shows the growth and excitement around Minnesota lacrosse."
- Coach Rob Horn (St. Thomas University, Minnesota Elite Lacrosse)
Team coaches or administrators can reserve their space by mailling a $240 team deposit to Homegrown Lacrosse and completing the Boy's Online Team Administrator Form or Girl's Online Team Registration Form. The total participation fee is $475 per team.
This year for the Minnesota Meltdown we will be trying to fight hunger in the Twin Cities. We will be accepting non-perishable food donations which will be donated to Second Harvest Heartland. Please bring as many as you can, as we will be counting to see which team can donate the most!
