Youth Winter

Homegrown Lacrosse's Youth 7 v. 7 Winter Lakes Leagues work to provide a fun, safe and competitive environment where local players can develop alongside their teammates in the off-season.

Our goal is to offer the most affordable, well organized league in the state. All proceeds from league dues support Homegrown's service-based programming.

The league is open to boys grades 3-6 for the ’11-’12 school year. All players must have current US Lacrosse memberships. All teams must have a minimum of 14 players.

All Games will be held at the Rosemount Irish Sports Dome (side field)

January 7 - March 17

 3rd/4th Game Start Times:

1:00 p.m. | 2:00 p.m. | 3:00 p.m.

5th/6th Game Start Times:

 4:00 p.m. | 5:00 p.m. | 6:00 p.m. | 7:00 p.m.

Cost
The total fee is $1,300 per team. This includes a $500 non-refundable deposit that reserves a space in the league and a $800 remaining fee due on or before your first game. 

Enter Your Team

  1. Gain interest from your players. 
  2. Complete the Team Administrator Online Registration form
  3. Mail in the team's $500 deposit.
  4. Your team's space in the league is not reserved until both items (3) and (4) have been completed. 
  5. Once the registration materials are received, you will be sent instructions on how your players can register with Homegrown. 
  6. Individual players will register (no additional charge) with Homegrown Lacrosse for informational purposes and to sign Homegrown Lacrosse's Waiver and Liability Release Form. 
  7. Monitor your roster and who is registering for your team via Homegrown Lacrosse's registration system. 
  8. The regular season schedule will be posted to www.homegrownlacrosse.org in late December. 
  9. The remaining $800 is due on or before your team's first game. 

 

Game Format & League Rules

7 v. 7:

  • 2 attack, 3 midfield, 2 defense, 1 goalie.
  • Four 12-minute running time quarters. 2 minute half-time break, 1 time-out per-game.
  • Face-offs after quarter breaks only. Shootout style clearing after all goals (goalie picks up the ball from the back of the net and clears it immediately).
  • No sideline horns.
  • 8 game regular season followed by 2 nights play-off. No over-times.
  • Braveheart (full-field 1 v. 1 to) will decide a tie.

League Rules

  • Homegrown Lacrosse reserves the right to discipline players and coaches who are deemed to be behaving in an unsportsmanlike or inappropriate manner which includes and is not limited to temporary or permanent suspension from the league
  • All players must sign Homegrown Lacrosse's Waiver and Liability Release Form
  • All players must be current US Lacrosse Members
  • All coaches must be current US Lacrosse Members
  • All coaches must sign Homegrown Lacrosse's Coaches Waiver and Liability Release Form
  • Players must wear full equipment at all times (Helmet, Gloves, Arm Pads, Shoulder Pads, Mouthguard, Athletic Shoes, *Protective cups are are strongly encouraged)
  • Goalies must wear a chest protector and a neck protector at all times
  • Games that are terminated or canceled due to inclement weather are not guaranteed to be re-scheduled
  • Games that are terminated with more than half of the time played will be considered complete
  • Games that are terminated with more than half of the time remaining will not count towards league standing
