Fall League Resources and Requirements

Player Requirements

Online Registration: All participants must have an up to date US Lacrosse membership and have a parent or legal guardian complete an online league registration form. The form serves as a waiver / liability release / code of conduct agreement, verifies US Lacrosse membership and collects emergency contact information. Registration opens in mid-March. Instructions and links will be provided by coaches / association leaders.

Geography: Players are required to compete for their home community association or school team. Home community lines mirror school district lines. Players who live in communities that do not have a member association may submit a request to play for a neighboring association. Players competing on school teams must attend that school or affiliated lower school.

Coach Requirements & Resources

Once registration is complete a confirmation email will be sent with instructions on how to access rules training. You should have all of your requirements completed at least 7 days before the date for games in your league. This will give the training manager time to process your registration.

Coach Training: All coaches must also complete 2017 GNLL Online Coach Training. The training includes state-mandated concussion training, GNLL policies and procedures, and rule changes for 2017. The videos take roughly 1.5 to 3.25 hours to view, depending on whether you have completed training in a prior year, the level of play you are coaching, and your coaching position. There are also quizzes after each video to gauge comprehension. The course covers coaches for the entire 2017 calendar year (spring, summer, and fall). Box coaches will have a short additional component covering them for box games.

Officials Evaluations: After each game coaches or team administrators from both teams are required to complete an online evaluation of the officials for each game that they play as well as report scores online. Instructions and reminders on how to complete these are emailed periodically throughout the season.

Score Reporting: After each game coaches or team administrators from both teams are required to report scores online. Instructions and reminders on how to complete these are emailed periodically throughout the season.
