Can't pick one! Year after year the program improves, attracts more quality coaches, and increases its reach through out the state. Makes you feel pretty proud about being a part of something like that.
At last summer's overnight camp, seeing Coach Joey C get in his element and get the wave going in the stadium was a sight to see! Also love the homegrown style of utilizing some creative drills to keep things fresh and exciting.
There are two that really stick out in my mind.
One has to be heading to Vail with the first river lax team. We didn't win that many games but we definitely gave everyone a run for their money. My favorite memory might be at the summer camp of '09 when I was LDP'ing and we had our final day of games and competitions; running around with all the coaches and the young laxers was great. Every homegrown camp that I've ever gone to was great, and thanks to all of Homegrown's help i went from picking up lacrosse in my sophomore year of high school to playing on a high quality MCLA team. We are definitely high quality
I have so many Homegrown Lacrosse memories its hard to pinpoint just one. But if I had to pick one, I would go with the 2011 Champions of Summer Event. I was very reluctant to participate in the Dunk Tank activities, but after strong pressure from the other HG staff members and my Dad, I gave it. Probably seeing the older kids thinking they were the best o the best. It was so awesome to see how they could throw fakes and do all of this crazy stuff and now that i am a freshman i get to doall of that and shows how fr Homegrown has taken me.
