Homegrown Organization

Dedicated Nonprofit

Homegrown Lacrosse, is a nonprofit 501c3 organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota which is organized exclusively for charitable and education purposes.
 
The purpose of this corporation is:
  • To support the positive growth of the youth in the communities served by the organization; 
  • Develop the sport of lacrosse in the Upper Midwest; 
  • To create opportunities for youth to be introduced to, engaged in and excel at the sport of lacrosse; and
  • Enrich the lives of to those touched by the organization through its deeds and actions. 

As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, Homegrown Lacrosse operates under a set of bylaws and is governed by a Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors oversees the organization's efforts of encouraging positive change in the lives of youth lacrosse players and supporting the growth of the sport in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.  Each board member pledges to support the organization's mission.

Led by Keith Burke, UBS Financial Services, the 2012 Board of Directors represents a cross-section of Minnesota’s business and lacrosse communities.

Beyond their professional careers, members of board of directors hold leadership roles within the lacrosse community including presidents of the Armstrong Cooper Youth Lacrosse Association (ACYLA), Eden Prairie Lacrosse Association, Youth Lacrosse Minnesota (YLM), Upper Midwest Lacrosse Officials Association (UMOLA) and the U.S. Lacrosse – Youth Council.

Meeting Schedule

Unless otherwise noted, the meetings are held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Homegrown Lacrosse office.

  • October 25
  • December 13 

Interested individuals can request to attend a Homegrown Lacrosse Board of Directors meeting or to obtain a copy of meeting minutes.

Requests for either should be sent via email to Aron Lipkin, Executive Director at least two weeks prior to the meeting. The Executive Committee will review and respond to each request.
