Ian lives in Minneapolis and is currently the Blake High School Assistant Coach and the Assistant/Goalie Coach at St. Thomas University. Before moving to Minnesota, Ian received numerous awards, including 2003 MVP and Section Three All Star while at Westhill High School in Syracuse, New York, a 2007 MAAC Defensive Player of the Week while at Wagner College, and the 2007 NCAA Division I leader in total saves in the regular season, with 209.
Ian loves lacrosse because of the sense of community surrounding the sport. He also likes that players have so much fun on the field.
Ian is thankful for lacrosse bringing him friends and travel that would never have been possible without the unique, grassroots nature of the sport. While coaching, he enjoys increasing a player’s ‘Lacrosse IQ’. When he sees a player really improve while at camp, it really makes his week!
Tidbits: Ian enjoys traveling the country and tracking down the best burger in America.
