Rules

 Game Format

  • Each game will consist of four 12-minute running time quarters 
  • Stopped time under two minutes when games are within 2 goals 
  • 1 timeout per team, per game
  • No overtime for regular season games, instead games will end in a tie 
  • Games start promptly at their scheduled times. Warm-up time and space varies by site 
  • If a goalie receives a time serving penalty, that team's "in-home" player will serve the penalty 

League Format / Rules

  • Youth teams are guaranteed 6 regular season games and H.S teams are guaranteed 14. 
  • Teams that opt in to our Post Season Tournament (if applicable) are also guaranteed 4 post-season games. 
  • Playoff tournament seedings will be created via team standings and records at the conclusion of the regular season.
  • All players must have a parent or legal guardian register and complete a Homegrown Lacrosses Waiver and Liability Release Form online. 
  • All players must be current U.S. Lacrosse Members. 
  • All coaches must be current U.S. Lacrosse Members. 
  • All coaches must complete the Homegrown Lacrosse Coaches Waiver and Liability Release Form online. 
  • Games that are terminated due to inclement weather are not guaranteed to be re-scheduled.
  • Games that are terminated with more than half of the time played will be considered complete.
  • Games that are terminated with less than half of the time remaining will not count towards league standing.
  • Homegrown Lacrosse reserves the right to discipline players and coaches who are deemed to be behaving in an unsportsmanlike or inappropriate manner which includes and is not limited to temporary or permanent suspension from the league.
