On-Field Coach / Instructor

Homegrown is actively seeking On-Field coaches for Homegrown Academy skills clinics, Fall Premier Box Lacrosse League, Spring Clinics (Sniper, Scorpion, Faceoff, & Goalie), and Summer Camps. Days and locations vary by season and the program that you are interested in working at.

On- Field Coach / Instructor Requirements

On-Field Coach / Instructor Requirements - (Part-Time)

  • Coach is responsible for implementing daily practice plans, developing the LDP counselors, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • In addition to the specific activities outlined, the coaches will provide support as needed to the Program Director.

Coaching positions are seasonal, part-time positions and report to the Program Director. Programs vary depending on the location and season. Hourly wage is based on experience. 

Requirements:

  • High School graduate
  • High School Varsity playing experience
  • A minimum of one year playing collegiate lacrosse  
  • Lacrosse coaching experience at various age levels
  • A strong understanding of transformational coaching as well as second and third dimension coaching and philosophies
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrated adaptability and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to connect with individuals of various ages and ethnic and economic backgrounds
  • Proven leadership abilities
