This fall we are offering a very special opportunity to 16 of our H.S. Fall Ball Program participants through our Leadership Development Program (L.D.P.).
Through L.D.P. high school volunteers work along-side the Homegrown staff at our Youth and Middle School Fall Ball Programs (Division 1 players arrive 2 hours prior to their own sessions / Division 2 players stay 2 hours after their own sessions). Volunteers will be connected to a team of group of 15 - 20 middle school boys and be provided the unique opportunity to develop coaching skills, their own understanding of the game, and lasting mentoring relationships with our great youth players.
LDP Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Work as an assistant coach on a 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th or 7th/8th grade team.
- Take part in staff curriculum planning
- Provide individualized instruction and support to our youth campers
- Participate in Homegrown staff training
- Must commit to %100 attendance and arrive at 11:00 a.m. each week.
- Run progressive skill clinics, warm ups, team huddles and post game sessions within the expectations and guidance of your teams senior staffer.
