About: The Homegrown Lacrosse Boy's Varsity Prep Summer League works to provide a fun, safe and competitive environment where 9/10 and J.V. players can develop alongside their teammates in the off-season. Locations: East / Central 2: McMurray Athletic Fields - Thursdays 7:30 - 10:30 p.m. Staff / Amenities Game Format: Two 25-minute running time halves. 5 minute half-time break, 1 time-out per-game. No sideline horns. No over-time. Braveheart (full-field 1 v. 1 to) will decide a tie. For a full list of rules click here. Play-off Format: Teams will be seeded based on overall record and placed into 4 team brackets. Each team will get two play-off games on August 7th at our Champions of Summer event. head to head results will determine tie breakers. Teams with the same record who tied each other in head to head competition will use season goal differential totals to determine final seeding. Records will be reported weekly online. Rain-outs: If severe weather prevents play game will not be re-scheduled. Players and parents can check the site and emails for weather alert notification. TEAM REGISTRATION Team Cost: $1650 Team Registration: We accept team registrations only. Team coaches or administrators can reserve space by mailing a $500 team deposit along with a Team Registration Form (click to download) to Homegrown Lacrosse, 2204 W 21st St., Minneapolis, MN 55405. Team registrration deadline is May 26th. Capacity: All teams may call Aron Lipkin at the Homegrown office at 612-823-3919 with any questions or comments or concerns. Team Administrators must: Player Eligibility: The league is open to boys entering grades 9, 10 or 11 for the 2010-2011 school year who have not played extensive varsity time for their respective programs. High school graduates are not eligible for play and should consider joining our Men's League. Once a team's space is reserved all players must register and sign waivers online using our online registration system. All teams must have a minimum of 20 players. PLAYER REGISTRAITON Players wishing to participate on their respective teams must register and sign waivers online. The registration process is completely free and helps us to manage waivers and gather contact information for your team administrators. Use the link below to register.
