Our Leadership Development Program allows high school volunteers an opportunity to work along-side the Homegrown staff at our Fall and Summer Youth and Middle School Programs. Participants work as counselors responsible for small groups of 6 to 15 campers. L.D.P. provides a unique opportunity for future coaches to develop coaching skills, their own understanding of the game, and lasting mentoring relationships with our great youth players.
LDP Volunteer Responsibilities:
Work as an assistant coach on a 3rd/4th grade, 5th/6th or 7th/8th grade team.
Take part in staff curriculum planning
Provide individualized instruction and support to our youth campers
Participate in Homegrown staff training
Must commit to %100 attendance and arrive on time each week.
Run progressive skill clinics, warm ups, team huddles and post game sessions within the expectations and guidance of your teams senior staffer.
