Boys Youth & Middle School School Fall Ball Program
* 10/6/08 Incredible Opportunity for our Youth Players (1st - 6th grade) Our entire staff is very excited to offer all of our youth players a very special invitation to join us this next weekend at the Hot-Dish Classic and Notre Dame vs. Army game which is being held in Blaine. This game is the first division 1 lacrosse game to be played in the state. If you can make it Homegrown will be able to provide each player with 2 tickets, a limited edition Homegrown t-shirt and most importantly an opportunity to walk out on the field with one of the 20 Notre Dame / Army starting players for the National Anthem. The cost is FREE thanks to our gracious sponsorship by the Minnesota Swarm. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday the 11th. Online registration will be open to our 6th - 12th Fall Ball Program Participants until Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Teams will compete in 3 to 4 games on Saturday and Sunday Oct. 11th - 12th. Players will also receive a ticket for the Notre Dame vs. Army game on Saturday morning. Teams will be limited to 20 man rosters and coached by a select members of our Fall Ball staff. About: Homegrown's Youth and Middle School Fall Ball Programs are first of their kind, 7-week, developmental fall tournaments created to provide a safe, fun and challenging environment where 172 of Minnesota’s youth lacrosse players can develop as exceptional athletes and young men of character. Here they will be able to strengthen their connection to the Minnesota and Homegrown Lacrosse Communities. Scholarships will allow our players to play regardless of socioeconomic background, and all revenues will help to support Homegrown’s Inner-City initiatives, scholarship funds and administrative budgets.

Division 1 and 2 Program Structure (5th - 8th Grade)
* During first session 4 teams will be formed via a draft Scrimmage. This will ensure even competition and compatible coach / player relationships.
*Session 2 will offer a 1 hour practice where players can get to know each other, their coaches and develop team systems.
* During next 5 sessions each team will compete in professionally officiated round robin games (sessions 2–4) and a final play-off game (session 5). Check Schedule & Results page for more detail.
*Players will compete in an adapted 7 v. 7 format which allows younger players to develop their full field skills in a more progressive way.
* Each team will be coached by 1 top level Varsity MSHSL, MCLA, NCAA or Professional player or coach. Check our Program Staff page for bios. As well as 2 High School Leadership Development Program Mentors.
* All game sessions will start with a 15 minute progressive mini-clinic led by program director and Carelton College Head Coach, Daniel Lipkin. Players will be challenged to learn and apply new skills during their games.
* Following each mini-clinic players will participate in a 15-minute pre-game warm-up and strategy session.
* A full-time goalie coach will also be on hand to work with the keepers prior to each game.
* Guest coaches will also participate in mini-clinics and game reviews to help players understand specialty positions and game situations.
*After each session players will have 15 minutes of open field made available to go over post game reviews with our coaches.
Division 3 Program Structure (3rd & 4th Grade)
*Players will be encouraged to understand and develop new skills through progressive mini-clinics, fun games as well as scrimmages. Each week will begin with a new skill focus demonstration and be followed by a a series of drills which allows players to put what they have learned to practice.

Registration: *is open on a first come first serve basis and is limited by position.* Full program fee is due in full in order to reserve space. Cancellations will be refunded in full (minus applicable online registration fees) through September 1st. After September 1st a Homegrown credit will be offered.
